Bull Run

Bull Run: Market Runner

Privacy Policy

Effective 6 September 2026 · Last updated 7 September 2026 (advertising data stated in the table below; it was already described under Advertising)

The short version

Bull Run has no account and no sign-up. Your coins, your records, your roster and your settings live on your phone and nowhere else, and we cannot see any of them.

Two things do leave your device. Your advertising identifier, but only if you tap Allow when iOS asks — it is used to serve the adverts you choose to watch, and saying no changes nothing about what any of them pay. And measurements of how the game is played — how long runs last, which rewards people take — sent to Google Analytics.

⚠️ Those measurements can be associated with your Google account. Not by us — we never learn who you are, and the game sets no identifier of its own — but by Google, if you are signed in to Google and have left ad personalisation on in your Google settings. This is a feature called Google Signals and it is switched on. What that means, in full.

What stays on your device

Everything the game knows about you is written to your own phone's app storage and is never uploaded to us:

We cannot see any of it, and none of it is uploaded. Deleting the app deletes all of it, and there are two controls inside the game that do it without uninstalling:

There is no online account, and the button says so before it does anything. It is there because it is the control people look for, not because an account exists — see Your choices for what it cannot reach and why.

Advertising

Bull Run shows rewarded adverts only — every advert in the game is one you chose to watch in exchange for something, and there is no interstitial anywhere in the app. Adverts are served by Unity Ads, a service of Unity Technologies.

Tracking, and your answer to it

After your first run the game asks, through Apple's own prompt, whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is shared with Unity so the adverts you see can be personalised, which is worth more to the game.

Saying no changes nothing about what you are paid. Every door in the game — the double, the bell, the mint, the vault draw — pays the same amount either way. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Install measurement

The app supports SKAdNetwork, Apple's privacy-preserving attribution system, which tells an advertiser that an install happened without identifying you. It works whether or not you allow tracking and is handled entirely by iOS.

What Unity receives

To serve an advert, Unity may receive your advertising identifier (only with your permission), device and OS information, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and information about the adverts you were shown. Unity's handling of that data is governed by their own policy: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Since 6 September 2026 Unity also receives the game's measurement events. That is described under Measurement below, because it is the same short list of events and not a second collection.

Measurement

The game uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how it is played. This is the one thing on this page that changed on 6 September 2026; before that date the app measured nothing at all.

What we send, and why

A short, fixed list of events, and every one of them is about the game rather than about you:

We do this because the game's economy — what a run pays, what the roster costs — has always been tuned against a simulation of how people play. This is how we find out what really happens, so the prices and rewards can be set against reality instead of a guess.

What we never attach to it

The game sets no identifier of its own. We never create a user id, never attach a name or an account, and nothing we write into an event could be traced back to a person by us. We could not look you up in our own data if you asked us to.

⚠️ But Google can associate it with your Google account

This is the part that deserves plain language rather than a footnote. A Google Analytics feature called Google Signals is switched on for this app. When it is on, Google associates the measurements above with the Google account of anyone who is signed in to Google and has left ad personalisation switched on in their own Google settings.

In Google's own words, the information they may combine with it "may include end-user location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites that partner with Google". It is used to give us aggregated demographics and interests, to count the same person across devices, and to build audiences that can be used for advertising.

We never see any of that as individual data — it reaches us only as grouped totals, and Google hides small numbers so nobody can be picked out of a report. But the association is real, it is done on Google's side, and saying "anonymous" would be untrue.

You control it, and not through us: it depends on your own Google account setting. Turn off Ads Personalisation at myadcenter.google.com and the association stops. You can see and delete what Google has associated at myactivity.google.com.

What Google collects automatically

Once the library is switched on, some things are collected without the game asking for them, and it is only fair to say so: app opens, session lengths, crashes, your device model and iOS version, and an approximate region worked out from your IP address. Your advertising identifier is included only if you allowed tracking when iOS asked.

The measurement is shared with Unity

Added 6 September 2026. The Google Analytics property above is linked to Unity, the company that serves the game's adverts, so the events listed here reach them as well as us. Google exports them to a BigQuery dataset that Unity reads. Unity pays for that export — it costs the game nothing, and it costs you nothing.

They use it to judge which advert to offer and what it is worth. A player who finishes long runs and takes the rewards is worth more to an advertiser than one who opens the app once, and until now Unity could only guess at that from the adverts themselves.

It adds nothing to the list above. It is the same short set of game events going to a second company rather than a first, and it still carries no identifier we created. Once it is with Unity it is governed by their policy: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements use Apple's Game Center, and it is entirely optional — declining costs you nothing but the online boards. If you are signed in, your best scores and earned achievements are sent to Apple under your own Game Center account, and other players may see your Game Center nickname next to your rank.

The game never sees your Apple ID or your email address. You can sign out in iOS Settings → Game Center. If you never sign in, the boards in the game show generated stand-in names instead, and the app says so on the screen.

Notifications

If you allow it, the game schedules one local reminder a day at 9pm in your own time zone. It is created and delivered entirely by your phone — there is no push server, we send nothing, and we are not told whether you opened it. Turn it off with The bell in the game's settings, or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Any in-app purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details — the app is told only whether a purchase exists, so it can unlock what you paid for.

What we never collect

To be specific rather than reassuring, Bull Run does not collect, ask for, or transmit any of the following:

Data collection, in a table

This is the same disclosure that appears on the App Store listing and in the app's privacy manifest.

DataWhyLinked to youUsed for tracking
Advertising identifier Third-party advertising Yes Yes, only with your permission
Product interaction Analytics and advertising Yes, by Google Yes
Advertising data Third-party advertising and analytics — which adverts Unity showed you Yes Yes
Approximate region Analytics and advertising — derived by Google from your IP Yes, by Google Yes
Everything else Not collected — stays on your device

Children

Bull Run is not directed at children under 13, and the app is not configured as a child-directed service with its advertising provider. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will act on it — though in practice there is nothing held on our side to remove.

Your choices

What Delete my account cannot reach, and we would rather say it than imply otherwise. Your Game Center scores and achievements belong to Apple under your own Apple ID — sign out or manage them in iOS Settings → Game Center. Measurements already sent carry no name or identifier of ours and cannot be looked up person by person, even by us; what you can act on there is your Google setting, below. And a paid ad-free purchase survives, because it is a receipt Apple holds rather than data we own — deleting it would not remove anything, it would only start showing adverts to someone who paid not to see them.

We hold no account for you, so there is nothing on our side to export or delete — we could not find your data if you asked, because we never learn who you are. What Google has associated with your Google account is yours to see and delete at myactivity.google.com, and you can stop the association entirely by turning off Ads Personalisation in your Google settings. Requests about data held by Unity or Apple should go to them under the policies linked on this page.
