1. Who we are
Chart Chaser is provided by TouchstoneTech (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy covers the Chart Chaser game and this information website. For privacy questions, contact contacttouchstonetech@gmail.com.
You do not need to create a separate Chart Chaser account to play. Some features use third-party services described below.
2. Information we handle
Game progress stored on your device
The game stores your coins, bonds, unlocked and selected characters, best scores, local run records, and sound and haptic preferences on your device. These saves allow the game to remember your progress between sessions.
Advertising information
Chart Chaser uses Unity Ads for banner advertisements and optional rewarded videos. Unity and its advertising partners may process device and app identifiers, an advertising identifier when permitted, IP address, approximate location inferred from network information, device model, operating system, language, and information about ad delivery and interactions, such as impressions, clicks and video completion. This helps deliver and measure ads, limit repeat ads and detect fraud.
Gameplay and analytics information
Google Analytics for Firebase processes app-instance identifiers, device and app information, usage events and session information. The game sends events such as starting or completing a run and requesting or completing a rewarded advertisement, along with related gameplay values. Analytics may also derive broad geographic information from network information. We use this information to understand game usage and improve the experience.
Game Center
If you use Apple Game Center, Apple processes your Game Center account information and the scores submitted by the game. Your Game Center profile and scores may appear to other players according to your Apple settings. The game does not receive your Apple account password.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, such as a description of a problem or a screenshot. Please do not include passwords or payment-card details.
3. How information is used
- To operate the game, preserve local progress and provide requested features.
- To display advertisements, verify rewarded-video completion and grant the associated in-game reward.
- To understand gameplay and reliability, diagnose problems and improve the game.
- To provide leaderboards through Game Center and respond to support or privacy requests.
- To prevent misuse and fraud and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is based on providing the service you request, legitimate interests such as maintaining and improving the game and preventing fraud, legal obligations, or consent where required. Consent can be withdrawn through applicable device or provider controls or by contacting us.
4. Services and sharing
Information is shared with the services needed to operate the game and provide advertising and analytics. These providers process information under their respective terms and privacy policies. We require third parties with whom we share personal information to provide protection consistent with this policy and applicable privacy requirements.
- Unity Ads: advertisements, measurement and fraud prevention. Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics for Firebase: app usage and analytics. Firebase privacy information and Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple Game Center: authentication for Game Center and leaderboards. Game Center & Privacy.
We may also disclose information when necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or respond to a valid legal request. Service providers may process data outside your country, subject to their applicable safeguards and legal obligations.
We do not sell players' information for money. Advertising-related disclosures may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under some privacy laws; the controls described below and Unity's privacy options apply to those activities.
5. Your choices
Tracking permission
On supported Apple devices, the game uses Apple's tracking-permission prompt. You can allow or deny tracking and change the choice in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying tracking does not stop you from playing. Advertisements and the processing needed to deliver contextual ads or operate the game may continue.
Rewarded advertisements
Rewarded videos are optional. Choosing a control labelled “Watch ad” starts a rewarded-ad request; the reward or revival is granted after successful completion. Banner advertisements may appear separately.
Provider privacy controls
Use privacy controls made available within Unity advertisements or visit Unity's privacy choices. Your device settings also control Game Center access and profile visibility. You can contact us with questions or requests concerning the analytics information associated with your use of the game.
6. Retention and deletion
Local progress remains on your device until reset or removed. The game's Settings → Delete account control resets local progress, including currencies, unlocked characters and local records; it does not delete your Apple account. Removing the app generally removes its local app data, subject to device backup and restoration behavior.
Resetting local progress does not itself delete data already processed by Unity, Google or Apple. Contact us or use the relevant provider's privacy controls to request deletion of that information.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the request and any applicable legal, security or recordkeeping obligations. Advertising and analytics information is retained according to the applicable provider's retention rules and configured retention settings. Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be kept longer where permitted.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information involved. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain advertising-related sharing. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
To make a request, email contacttouchstonetech@gmail.com with “Chart Chaser privacy request” in the subject. We may request limited information needed to verify the request or identify the relevant data. Because the game does not require a separate account, we may not be able to associate device-level analytics with your email address; in that case, we will explain the available provider request process.
8. Children
Chart Chaser is not directed to children under 13 or the higher age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including contacting the relevant service provider.
9. This website
This information website is hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not add advertising, analytics scripts, tracking cookies, account forms or external fonts to these pages. GitHub may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to operate and secure its hosting service. See the GitHub Privacy Statement. External sites linked here have their own privacy policies.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the game or legal requirements. The updated version will appear on this page with a revised date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
